Midwest ends Kansas City service

Midwest Airlines announced today that it will discontinue service between Colorado Springs and Kansas City on April 5.
Midwest said its withdrawal from Colorado Springs is because of rising fuel prices and competition with other carriers.
Midwest has provided two daily flights using 50-seat regional jets since July 2007.

Csintyan named chamber CEO

The Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce has chosen Dave Csintyan as its new president and CEO.
Csintyan, who has been with the chamber since 2002 as president of business affairs, was named interim CEO after Will Temby left the job in August.
The chamber board of directors chose Csintyan after a national search.

O’Connell leaving Penrose-St. Francis

Rick O’Connell, president and CEO of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services, resigned today citing “personal reasons.”
