Springs home prices down slightly

The First American CoreLogic LoanPerformance Home Price Index, which tracks price trends for repeat home sales, showed that home prices for the Colorado Springs area fell by 1.28 percent during August compared to August 2007.
The current median price of a home in Colorado Springs is $202,500.
Nationally, home prices fell 7.83 percent for the same period with a median price of $203,900.
ZIP code 80924 topped the list for the highest home prices in Colorado Springs with a median price of $397,166, and ZIP code 80910 had the lowest median price at $115,500.
The LoanPerformance index is created by evaluating price, time between sales, property type and whether the property’s loan was conforming or nonconforming.
