Excellence awards

The Colorado Springs Economic Development Corp. honored 10 companies during their annual Excellence in Local Industries Awards ceremony yesterday.
The Longevity Award was presented to El Paso Western Pipelines for their 80-year anniversary.
The Innovation Award was presented to Neumann Systems Group for their pollution and green house control system.
The Public/Private Partnership Award was presented to Colorado Springs Utilities for their partnership with Neumann Systems Group that seeks to lower pollution and customer bills.
CEA Technologies received the International Award for their market expansion to the Dominican Republic.
Springs Fabrication was honored with the Local Community Investment Award for the recent expansion of a 50,000 square foot fabrication bay.
Northrop Grumman received the National Community Investment Award for a new 124,000-square-foot office building.
The Community Infrastructure Award was presented to the Pikes Peak Workforce Center in recognition of the Business and Education, Talent Readiness Project.
The Corporate Citizenship Award was presented to T. Rowe Price for supporting the local communities where associates live and work through grants to non-profit organizations. The company also won the first community award presented by the Colorado Springs Diversity Forum, the Inclusion Award.
TAEUS International Corp. was presented with the Corporate Citizenship Award for their donation of $500,000 to St. Mary’ High School for the building of their athletic field complex. TAEUS also has donated more than $25,000 to community groups such as Care & Share, The Marian House Soup Kitchen and others.
The 2008 Chairperson’s Awards went to Mayor Lionel Rivera, LandCo Equity Partners and the United States Olympic Committee.
