Kosley steps down as Downtown Partnership director

Beth Kosley has resigned from her 14-year position as executive director of the Downtown Partnership to take a job director of Woodland Park’s economic development office and downtown development authority.

Classic Homes Vice President and Downtown Partnership board member Ron Butlin will serve as interim director for one year.

Kosley is credited with leading the expansion of downtown’s Business Improvement District and the creation of the Downtown Development Authority, the Art on the Streets program and Downtown Free Shuttle.

Kosley said she does leave with some regret though.

“I’m sad that the southwest downtown redevelopment project hasn’t really popped yet,” she said. “It will. That’s for sure. But it just hasn’t yet.”

Beth Kosley will definitely be missed in the Dowtown area. She has brought a lot of good and positive change that has benefited not only the business industry but the community as a whole. I only hope that whoever replaces her will have the same creative heart and energy to continue the work she has developed for the downtown community. I wish her well in her upcoming position. I am sure with her talents and skills we will see a new and growing Woodland Park community. Thanks Beth for all you have given to the Downtown community.
