Merit pay might be sole source of pay increase

U.S. workers can expect skimpy raises in their base salaries next year, but top performers may still fatten their paychecks with merit compensation.

The fledgling Tri-Lakes business community is celebrating the first graduation from its business incubator.

RTL Payment Systems is the first graduate of the Tri-Lakes Business Incubator, which was established during November.
RTL develops financial software, and like Apple Computer Inc., started in its founder’s garage.
