The Bureau of Labor Statistics says that Colorado, like 33 other states, experienced a drop in construction-related employment during June.

The number of jobs in Colorado dropped from 169,500 during June 2007 to 164,400 this year.

Employment rose in 13 states and was almost unchanged in the District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Mexico and North Dakota.

The largest percentage gains during the last 12 months were in Wyoming, Louisiana and Oklahoma, Texas and New Hampshire. The largest percentage decreases occurred in Arizona and Florida, followed by South Carolina, California and Michigan.
