The S&P/Case-Shiller home price index for May declined 15.8 percent from the year earlier. The index surveys home prices in 20 major metropolitan areas, including Denver.

Health care cost expected to jump nearly 10%

That’s the news from a PricewaterhouseCoopers report that predicts a 9.9 percent increase in costs this year and a 9.6 percent increase during 2009.

County consolidates departments from 13 to four

The El Paso County Board of Commissioners has approved a plan to consolidate 13 departments into four in order to deal with a shrinking 2008/09 budget.
