Colorado has seventh highest foreclosure rate

Colorado had 4,878 properties in foreclosure last month, which gave the state the seventh highest foreclosure rate in the nation.
Statistics from RealtyTrac also show that the state’s foreclosure rate was down 14.5 percent from June 2007, and down 9.6 percent from May.
Nationwide, foreclosure filings were up 53 percent year over year during June, to 252,363 properties. One in every 501 U.S. households experienced a foreclosure filing in June, according to the data.
Nevada had the nation’s highest foreclosure rate for the 18th consecutive month followed by California, Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana and Utah.
