Lawrence wins South Academy Boulevard contract

The El Paso County Board of Commissioners has awarded a $4.3 million construction contract to Lawrence Construction for phase three of the South Academy Boulevard Improvements Project.
The project will provide improvements between B-Street and Interstate 25. Phase three specifically includes the construction of a continuous flow intersection with new ramp connections at Pikes Peak Community College and the South Academy Station development site on the north side. Workers will also construct auxiliary lanes and modifications to the on- and off-ramps at I-25.
Money for this phase comes from the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority.
