Café to open in former Tejon Street Market location

A 35-year restaurant veteran is opening a breakfast and lunch café later this month at 321 N. Tejon St. – the location of the failed Tejon Street Market.

Police plan moveable DUI checkpoint

The Colorado Springs Police Department will sponsor a moving DUI checkpoint starting at 9 p.m. this Friday, May 23.
The Colorado State Patrol will also be participating.
The checkpoint will be conducted within the boundaries of the Gold Hill Division, which generally covers the downtown area.

Buses to run on Memorial Day, FREX won’t

Mountain Metropolitan Transit buses and the paratransit will operate on Memorial Day according to their normal Sunday schedules.
The Front Range Express (FREX) and the FREE Downtown Shuttle (Route 55) will be closed and resume regular operations on Tuesday, May 27.
