The Driver’s License office at 5650 Industrial Place on the southeast corner of Powers Boulevard and Airport Road has moved upstairs into bigger quarters.

El Paso County Clerk and Recorder Bob Balink said the department needed additional space to accommodate growing Motor Vehicle transactions and support for the Recording and Election Departments.

The office is authorized to offer “limited services” such as driver’s license/identification card renewals and out-of-state-transfers only. All other transactions, including issuance of first-time permits, driver’s licenses or ID cards, as well as written or driving tests, reinstatements, commercial driver’s licenses or motorcycle endorsements must be handled at the Colorado Department of Revenue’s full service office at 4420 Austin Bluffs Parkway.
