McDonalds CEO opposes menu calorie counts

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that McDonald’s CEO Jim Skinner apparently doesn’t like the idea of including calorie counts on fast food menus.
He apparently spoke out against the idea at an industry trade show, calling such regulations are “redundant and flawed,” because many McDonald’s have offered calorie information on its Web site, on tray liners and on packaging.
Skinner called those pushing for the regulation as CAVE people – Citizens Against Virtually Everything.
A New York City menu calorie ordinance survived legal challenges and went into effect April 30.
