Air Academy Federal Credit Union is inviting the public to bring paper documents to its main branch Saturday to shred them.
The shredding party is scheduled from 9 a.m. until noon, May 17, at 1355 Kelly Johnson Blvd.
Up to five bankers’ boxes or three trash bags of paper documents will be accepted. The service is free for credit union members, and nonmembers may participate for a $10 donation to the credit union’s foundation.
The shredding services will be provided by DocuVault, which is certified with the National Association for Information Destruction.
Participants can watch as their documents are destroyed by a Hammermill shredder that reduces paper to the size of a dime.
