Gary Campbell has been named president and chief executive officer of Centura Health. He will start July 7.
Campbell has served as senior vice president of operation and group executive officer of Catholic Health Initiatives since joining the organization in December 2004. He was appointed by the Board of Trustees of Centura Health in a joint operating agreement between Catholic Health Initiatives and Adventist Health System.
At Catholic Health Initiatives, he was responsible for overseeing 27 hospitals in Kentucky, Nebraska and New Jersey, as well as a joint operating agreement for a hospital based in Dayton, Ohio.
Campbell has a master’s degree in hospital and health administration from Xavier University.
