Colorado sees mixed results in personal income

Published April 28, 2008 by Rob Larimer

In a Bureau of Economic Analysis report ranking the 50 states by rate of personal income growth and highest per capita income, Colorado scored both low and high.

It trailed Rocky Mountain states like Wyoming and Utah, which both had 6 percent or better per capita growth rates for 2006 to 2007. On the other hand, Colorado ranked 10th in the nation for annual per capita income at $41,042. The state PCPI is just slightly above the national average and is projected to stay at that level for now.
