Colorado Springs-based G.E. Johnson Construction Co. will join 12 other construction and mechanical engineering firms to restore the historic Industrial Sciences Building on the Colorado State University campus in Fort Collins this spring.
The facility will become a Preconstruction Center designed to prepare students to work in collaborative teams and integrated industry models, including concept, design, project management, estimating, marketing and presentation.
Volunteer chairman Ed Haselden, president of Haselden Construction in Centennial and a member of the CSU System Board of Governors spearheaded the industry partnership which will create the $4 million Preconstruction Center. The Industrial Sciences Building was originally constructed in 1883.
