County to fix assessor’s site

The El Paso County Board of Commissioners has approved an emergency appropriation of $71,774 for upgrades to the County Assessor’s Web site.
The site had not been working properly for weeks and timed out during property records searches.
Upgrades are expected to be completed in about six weeks, but in the meantime, a temporary solution that increases time allowed for searches has been put in place.
Spokeswoman Julie Johnson said the site receives more than 26 million hits a year from builders, developers and appraisers.
