Cesar Chavez to open school at Fillmore and Union

The Cesar Chavez School Network plans to open a second K-7 elementary school in Colorado Springs this fall.
The Cesar Chavez Schools are a string of charter schools in Pueblo and Colorado Springs. The new elementary school is planned to open at the intersection of Fillmore Street and Union Boulevard.
Enrollment is under way, and school will start Aug. 4.
The operating philosophy of the organization is rooted in the belief that all children are capable of learning at high levels if they are taught by caring, skilled educators, challenged by an engaging curriculum and held to ambitious standards.
