USA Basketball, the national governing body for men’s and women’s basketball in the United States, announced this morning that it has selected the finalist cities for the location of its headquarters and national training facilities following the conclusion of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
The cities are Glendale, Ariz.; Indianapolis, Ind.; Louisville, Ky.; and Colorado Springs, the organization’s present location.
USA Basketball issued a request for proposal during September from cities interested in serving as USA Basketball’s future host community. Currently, USA Basketball trains its teams at the U.S. Olympic Committee’s training center and various other venues throughout the United States.
USA Basketball will make site visits to the finalist cities during the next two months and will make an announcement about its future location plans this summer.
