USOC names new development director

The United States Olympic Committee has named Janine Alfano as Managing Director of Development.
Alfano will direct USOC private donor fundraising activities, which include major gifts, games-related hospitality initiatives, capital needs, planned giving and donor events. She begins her new job on March 10, just five months prior to the opening of the Beijing Olympic Games.
Alfano comes to the USOC from the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association Foundation in Park City, Utah which she joined in February 1996. She was named the organization’s Vice President of Fundraising in April.
