CH2M Hill and the City of Colorado Springs were awarded an Outstanding Achievement in Public/Private Partnerships Award for their work with Mayor Lionel Rivera and Colorado Springs Utilities.

The award was given during yesterday’s meeting of the National Conference of Mayors in Las Vegas.

The entities worked together on the Fountain Creek Recovery Project, an effort to protect the environment and customers, as well as to keep potential wastewater overflows from reaching downstream landowners and communities in Colorado.

The award was one of 10 such awards presented to cities and companies.
