J.A. Worldwide appoints new CEO

Junior Achievement Worldwide’s board of governors has appointed Sean Rush as president and CEO.

The appointment is effective Jan. 14.

Rush has served as vice president and general manager of IBM’s Global Education Industry for the last 12 years. The GEI is a multi-billion dollar global entity that works with businesses, universities, schools and governments around the world to help young people understand the global economy.

Prior to joining IBM, Rush served as chairman of Coopers and Lybrand’s National Education and nonprofit practice.

J.A. Worldwide serves some 8 million children in 119 countries with a network of 280,000 volunteers.
