Men, once again, putting off shopping duties

Published December 18, 2007 by CSBJ Staff

This just in from the National Retail Federation – men, it seems, have been caught procrastinating this holiday season.

One in five of them have not done any holiday shopping yet, the NRF says.

According to their most recent shopping trends survey, 19 percent of men have yet to begin shopping compared to 13.7 percent of women who are slacking.

All together, more than 35 million shoppers, or 16.5 percent of the total shopping population, admit they haven’t started shopping this year.

However, 25 million shoppers, nearly 12 percent of the shopping population, say their shopping is complete.
