Pima Medical Institute moves

Pima Medical Institute has moved to a new, expanded location.

The privately owned medical school has moved from Printers Parkway and Pikes Peak Avenue to 3770 N. Citadel Drive.

“It’s a good move for us, because it brings in foot traffic – the location is more visible,” spokeswoman Monica Jones said. “But it’s good for the city too. This area has been struggling, so we’re happy to bring people to this area.”

The school has 350 students who are studying to become dental assistants, medical assistants, pharmacy technicians and veterinary assistants.

There also are locations in Albuquerque; Mesa, Ariz.; Tucson; Chula Vista, Calif.; Seattle and Renton, Wash.; Las Vegas and Denver.
