Lodging group reports increased bookings

The Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association is reporting that year-to-date 66.4 percent of Colorado hotel rooms have been occupied, compared to 64.6 percent a year ago.
The statewide average daily room rate during October was $115.93, compared to $105.72 one year ago.

Construction work a little safer last year

Construction workers across the nation worked more but were injured less often last year.
The non-fatal injuries and illnesses case rate decreased from 6.3 cases per 100 workers during 2005 to 5.9 percent last year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics annual Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses.
