Drive sober in California get a free turkey

Drivers in Salinas, Calif. who choose not to imbibe before driving during the Thanksgiving holiday will reportedly get a free turkey.

The Salinas Police Department is scheduled to give away up to 300 turkeys to motorists who pass the sobriety test at an undisclosed DUI checkpoint.

Drives who do not pass the sobriety test, however, will receive a free trip to jail, a place not likely known for savory holiday meals.
