CSSO Foundation gives $500,000 for Philharmonic support

The Colorado Springs Symphony Orchestra Foundation has given $500,000 to the Bee Vradenburg Foundation to disperse in support of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic.
CSSO Foundation Board Chair Mary Ellen McNally said transferring the money to the Bee Vradenburg Foundation was the “perfect” way to ensure responsible management and disbursement of money in future years.

Third quarter refinance transactions totaled around $69 billion, according to Freddie Mac’s quarterly refinance survey. Refinance activity fell from approximately $97 billion during the second quarter. Home equity loans and other cashout transactions of $60 billion were down nearly 25 percent from the prior period.

FDA to gain recall authority

President Bush proposed yesterday that the Food and Drug Administration be empowered to order mandatory recalls of food products suspected to be unsafe.
