Springs design project wins statewide award

Penrose Hospital’s Ruth Anne Panning Financial Center was the only Springs project that claimed a statewide industry merit award from the Colorado chapter of the American Institute of Architects’ 2007 Design Awards.
The project was one of 15 winners selected from 84 entries.
The building, which won in the Interiors category, was designed by RTA Architects of Colorado Springs.
Denver-area projects garnered the largest number of awards with 11.
