Mammograms, magnetic resonance and free dinner

The Penrose Cancer Center is hosting a panel discussion about magnetic resonance imaging and mammograms – and to encourage people to attend, they’re serving free dinner and awarding door prizes.

The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 18 at the cancer center conference room, at 2222 N. Nevada. Ave.

The cancer panel includes a surgeon, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist and a radiologist. The panel will also have a simultaneous Spanish interpretation.

The event is free and open to the public, but reservations must be made to attend. Call (719) 776-5555.

    I went to the robotic demonstration a few weeks ago at Penrose. It was great. These are the kind of things our community needs in order to make educated decisions about our medical needs. Great job Penrose.
